About Us

Boasting more than 25 years of successful experience in K-12,  Higher Education, non-profit and for profit sectors.

My journey as a leader in education began with a task of transforming a variety of campus models including an International Baccalaureate School, STEM School, Personalized Learning School, Blended Learning, Early College, and a Trilingual School. These experiences have prepared me to tackle any curriculum transformation & community buy in opportunity.

As graduate faculty in Teaching & Learning and a certified Master Reading Teacher, I have led more than 50 training sessions at National Literacy Conferences, including those for Reading Recovery/Descubriendo la Lectura. My engaging professional development sessions resulted in the implementation of guided reading groups, as well as reading fluency and comprehension strategies, among others. Teachers departed with actionable steps to improve student achievement in their classrooms.

Throughout the years, my career has evolved into a passionate advocacy for STEM. Beginning as a principal of a STEM school, I later became the Senior Director of Academics & PD at the National Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, where I served as co PI of several National Science Foundation grants to support underserved faculty and students, expanding programs from three to thirteen, aiding students in reaching their career aspirations. My past clients, including the Society of Women in Engineering, Papaya Tutor, and Prospanica to name a few, have seen growth in member engagement, skill development, and the fostering of relationships vital for student achievement. My journey in STEM has also granted me the extraordinary chance to speak on several panels at national STEM events and on various podcasts.

Why Bossa?

This space is a tribute to my dogs, Bo and Tessa (Bossa), and I hope it captures the essence of what they give me every day: energy, loyalty, excitement, compassion, love, dedication, and an abundance of good vibes. Here's to all the wonderful dogs that came before and to those that will follow. A portion of the proceeds goes to Cuddly.com, who support animal rescues by providing emergency medical support, "business" tools, fundraising, marketing, and a valuable community so that they can fulfill their potential and continue to do good.
